Cheapest Tongkat Ali per Dose 2026: Cost Ranked
Not medical advice. Prices are current Amazon prices for the exact container and move week to week; doses are each label’s.
Quick answer
Tongkat ali costs between $0.32 and $0.67 per serving across the 4 products we track, a 2.1× spread; the cheapest, Nootropics Depot Tongkat Ali 2% Eurycomanone, declares 4 mg eurycomanone per 200 mg extract. The sticker price is meaningless because bottles run from 30 to 120 servings; only the price per dose compares.
Cheapest: Nootropics Depot Tongkat Ali 2% Eurycomanone, $0.32 per serving ($115.52 a year). Cheapest certified: Momentous Tongkat Ali, $0.67 per serving. See the table →

Cost per serving = current Amazon price for the exact container (verified 2026-09-17) divided by total active content in the container, times 1. The spread from Nootropics Depot Tongkat Ali 2% Eurycomanone to Momentous Tongkat Ali is 2.1× for the same active. Prices move week to week.
Why the number is per serving, and what the price actually buys
Tongkat ali is sold two ways: as an extract standardised to a named active (eurycomanone, the marker the human trials measured) or as a ratio (“200:1”) with no active declared. A ratio tells you how much root went into the powder, not what came out, so a 1,000 mg 200:1 capsule and a 200 mg 2% eurycomanone capsule are not comparable on milligrams. This page prices every product per serving and shows the declared eurycomanone where the label states one; where it does not, the row says so rather than pretending a number.
Across the 4 products the spread per serving is 2.1×. Two products declare their eurycomanone (Nootropics Depot’s 10% and 2% extracts, 10 mg and 4 mg per capsule); two declare a ratio only. The one in an independent certification registry is the Momentous product (Informed Sport), which is also the one most tested athletes will need. Over a year at one serving a day the gap between the cheapest and most expensive is $127.69.
Cost per serving, product by product
Each line is the arithmetic behind the table: container price divided by servings, then scaled per serving, then multiplied out to a year at one dose a day. Cheapest first.
- Nootropics Depot Tongkat Ali 2% Eurycomanone: $37.98 for 120 servings of 4 mg eurycomanone declared (200 mg extract) is $0.32 a serving and $0.32 per serving, or $115.52 a year. Label: Third-Party Tested (HPTLC).
- Double Wood Tongkat Ali 200:1 Extract: $24.95 for 60 servings of 1000 mg extract, eurycomanone not declared is $0.42 a serving and $0.42 per serving, or $151.78 a year. Label: Third-Party Tested. Note: no declared active.
- Nootropics Depot Tongkat Ali 10% Eurycomanone: $77.99 for 120 servings of 10 mg eurycomanone declared (100 mg extract) is $0.65 a serving and $0.65 per serving, or $237.22 a year. Label: Third-Party Tested (HPTLC).
- Momentous Tongkat Ali: $19.99 for 30 servings of 400 mg extract, eurycomanone not declared is $0.67 a serving and $0.67 per serving, or $243.21 a year. Label: Informed Sport Certified. Note: no declared active.
Why per serving, and what dose the trials used
The human trials used 200 to 400 mg a day of a standardised water extract of the root, and none reported its dose as milligrams of eurycomanone, which is why a declared percentage is the closest label proxy and why this page prices per serving. In 63 moderately stressed adults, 4 weeks of a standardised hot-water extract lowered salivary cortisol by 16% and raised salivary testosterone by 37% against placebo, with improvements in tension, anger and confusion scores (Talbott 2013, PMID 23705671). In 109 men aged 30 to 55, 300 mg a day of a freeze-dried water extract for 12 weeks improved the physical-functioning domain of quality of life and erectile-function scores against placebo (Ismail 2012, PMID 23243445). In 76 men with late-onset hypogonadism, 200 mg a day of a standardised water-soluble extract for one month improved symptom scores and serum testosterone, in a study with no placebo arm (Tambi 2012, PMID 21671978). In 25 physically active adults aged 57 to 72, 400 mg a day for 5 weeks raised total and free testosterone and handgrip strength, again without a control group (Henkel 2014, PMID 23754792). Small samples, short durations and two uncontrolled designs: buy the product that tells you what is in it and keep expectations in proportion.
Reading the quality column
The quality column is the same four-rung ladder as the third-party-tested page, compressed to a phrase. Rung 1 means the exact product appears in an independent certification registry in our snapshots; rung 2 means the brand publishes a lot-specific certificate of analysis you can match to the number on your container; rung 3 means a representative or undated report; rung 4 means a claim on the label or website with nothing behind it that we could open, or a brand site that blocked our check. The rung does not change the cost per dose, but it changes what the cost per dose is buying: at rung 4 you are paying for the molecule and the brand’s word; at rung 1 you are paying for the molecule and someone else’s test of it.
How to run the same calculation on any bottle
- Take the price and the servings count from the container: $37.98 and 120 servings for Nootropics Depot Tongkat Ali 2% Eurycomanone.
- Divide price by servings: $37.98 ÷ 120 = $0.32 a serving.
- There is no third step here: this category is priced per serving because the products share no declared active unit, so the serving price is the dose price. The eurycomanone column shows what each serving declares.
- Multiply by 365 for the yearly figure: $115.52. Compare that number, never the sticker price.
What moves this ranking is what the label declares, then the price. A serving is one capsule at the label’s own size, so a 1,000 mg ratio capsule and a 200 mg standardised capsule sit side by side at their own prices; per milligram of declared eurycomanone only the two standardised products can be compared at all, and the 10% extract is the cheaper of the two on that basis despite the higher sticker price. The Momentous product carries the category’s only Informed Sport listing and prices accordingly. Every figure is computed from the catalog at build time, none is typed.

Frequently asked questions
What is the cheapest tongkat ali per dose?
Nootropics Depot Tongkat Ali 2% Eurycomanone at $0.32 per serving at current Amazon prices ($37.98 for 120 servings), or about $115.52 a year. The most expensive bottle we track, Momentous Tongkat Ali, is $0.67 per dose, 2.1 times as much, for the same eurycomanone.
What is the cheapest tongkat ali that is actually third-party certified?
Momentous Tongkat Ali at $0.67 per serving, which states Informed Sport Certified on its label. That is $0.35 a dose more than the cheapest uncertified bottle.
Why price tongkat ali per serving instead of per serving?
Because milligrams of extract are not milligrams of active. A 200:1 extract at 1,000 mg tells you 200 g of root became 1 g of powder, and nothing about eurycomanone content; a 2% standardised extract at 200 mg tells you 4 mg of eurycomanone. Until a brand declares the active, the honest comparison is per serving with the declaration shown.
Is expensive tongkat ali better?
The more expensive product here is the one with the highest declared active (10% eurycomanone at 100 mg, 10 mg per capsule), and per milligram of declared active it is the cheaper of the two standardised products. Whether you need 10 mg or 4 mg is the open question; the trials mostly used 200 to 400 mg a day of standardised extract.
How much does a year of tongkat ali cost?
At one 5 g dose a day: $115.52 for Nootropics Depot Tongkat Ali 2% Eurycomanone, $243.21 for the cheapest certified product, and $243.21 for Momentous Tongkat Ali. Loading for a week adds about 15 doses.
