Best Collagen Gummies (2026): Only a Few Have a Real Dose
By Erin Rose Updated October 8, 2026 Methodology
Buy Nature Made Collagen Peptides + C Gummies. 3 gummies give 2,500 mg of Verisol collagen, the dose in the skin trials, for $0.85 a day on Amazon. Most collagen gummies we checked hold 100 to 200 mg, a small fraction of that dose. If you don’t need a gummy, collagen powder costs far less.

Don’t need a gummy? Sports Research Collagen Peptides powder gives the same 2,500 mg for about $0.18 on Amazon, and it is on Informed Choice. Best collagen.
Most collagen gummies hold a small fraction of the studied dose
The skin trial most brands point to gave women 2,500 mg of collagen a day. Of the gummies we could fully check on Amazon, two reach that: Nature Made Collagen Peptides + C Gummies and Consult Health Volumagen Collagen Gummies, both made with Verisol, the collagen used in that trial. The rest hold 100 to 200 mg a serving. To get 2,500 mg from them you would eat 25 to 42 gummies a day, and with Nature's Truth Collagen Peptide Gummies about 63 g of sugar.

Gummy brands often print a big number on the front, such as “multi collagen” or a total for the whole formula. The Supplement Facts panel on the back gives the collagen in one serving. That is the number in this table.
Also checked, not in the table:
- Vital Proteins Collagen Gummies, the pick in many guides: 2.5 g of Verisol in 4 gummies on its NIH label (record 323183). Amazon did not sell it when we checked.
- Collagen30 Gummies: the Amazon listing says 2,500 mg of Verisol per serving but does not say how many gummies a serving is or how many are in the pack, and we found no label to check. We could not price a dose.
- Wellneum Collagen Peptides Gummies: the label lists 3,000 mg of collagen plus 2,500 mg of keratin and 500 mg of lysine in 2 gummies, about 6 g of ingredients, with no gummy weight and no testing list. We could not check that those amounts fit.
- Lower doses: Lemme Glow (200 mg per 2 gummies), Nature’s Bounty Hair, Skin & Nails with Collagen (100 mg per 2 gummies) and Herbtonics (50 mg per 2 gummies).
What 2,500 mg did in the trials
In the Verisol trial, 114 women aged 45 to 65 took 2,500 mg a day or a placebo for 8 weeks. Eye-wrinkle volume fell 20% more on collagen than on the placebo (Proksch 2014). Two reviews of many trials found collagen improved skin hydration and elasticity (de Miranda 2021; Pu 2023); the 2023 review also found biases in the trials and called for larger ones. None tested a gummy with 100 mg. Collagen dosage guide.
Testing: none of these gummies is on a public list
- None of the gummies in our table. We searched NSF Certified for Sport, NSF/ANSI 173, USP Verified, Informed Sport and Informed Choice for every gummy on this page. Nature Made has dozens of products in our copy of the USP Verified list, but not these gummies.
- One collagen gummy is listed: Plyo Collagen + C Gummies, on NSF Certified for Sport and NSF/ANSI 173. It has 750 mg of collagen per 3 gummies, under a third of the trial dose. Amazon listed it with no price when we checked on October 8, 2026, so it has no buy button here.
- “Third-party tested” on a label is the brand’s own claim unless it names a public program. None of the brands here that say it name the lab or post results.

Questions
Do collagen gummies work?
Only if they hold a real dose. In the trial behind most skin claims, women took 2,500 mg of Verisol collagen a day for 8 weeks, and the volume of their eye wrinkles fell 20% more than on a placebo (Proksch 2014). Most collagen gummies we checked hold 100 to 200 mg a serving, 4 to 8% of that dose.
How much collagen is in a collagen gummy?
Usually very little. On the labels we read, a serving held 100 to 200 mg, except for two we could fully check, both made with Verisol, that hold 2,500 mg: Nature Made Collagen Peptides + C Gummies (3 gummies) and Consult Health Volumagen Collagen Gummies (4 gummies).
Are collagen gummies as good as collagen powder?
For the same dose of the same collagen, yes. But powder costs far less: 2,500 mg of Sports Research Collagen Peptides costs about $0.18 on Amazon, against $0.85 for our gummy pick. A powder scoop also gives 10 g or more, which a gummy cannot.
Are any collagen gummies third party tested?
Only one we found. On the public testing lists we search (NSF, USP and Informed), the only collagen gummy is Plyo Collagen + C Gummies, on NSF Certified for Sport and NSF/ANSI 173. It has 750 mg of collagen per 3 gummies, and Amazon listed it with no price when we checked. Several other brands say their gummies are "third-party tested," but they do not name the lab or post results.
Can I take more gummies to get more collagen?
With low-dose gummies, reaching 2,500 mg would take 25 to 42 gummies a day, which no label recommends and which adds sugar or sweeteners and the other vitamins in each gummy. Buy a full-dose gummy or a powder instead.
