Chronic high-dose B6 causes sensory peripheral neuropathy (Schaumburg 1983, PMID 6308447; systematic review Muhamad 2023, PMID 37447150), so the IOM set a tolerable Upper Limit (UL) of 100 mg/day (NIH ODS), against an RDA of only ~1.7 mg. b6Mg = elemental B6 mg per serving; atOrAboveUL flags products at/above 100 mg. \"verdict\": p5p (pyridoxal-5-phosphate, the active coenzyme) vs pyridoxine (pyridoxine HCl). Note: pyridoxine is the form shown cytotoxic in vitro (Vrolijk 2017, PMID 28716455) and P5P is marketed as safer, but clinical-superiority evidence is thin. Products are ranked SAFEST-FIRST (lowest B6 mg).
